Barrel Aged Verdejo 2019

No. 2 Ripe & Velvety

This creamy white wine evokes the flavours of the Mediterranean with tangy tangerine, ripe nectarine, fresh fennel and a burst of mouth-watering lemon.

Introducing our barrel-fermented, vintage Verdejo. This golden white wine leads with floral aromas, ripe stone fruits, citrus and fennel, over a creamy and moreish palate. Created by Javier Sanz and using a careful selection of their finest Verdejo grapes grown on their Fuente de los Vaqueros estate in Rueda, Spain. Here they thrive on warm pebble top soils before being barrel-fermented in French oak for six months.

The 2019 vintage is best served slightly chilled alongside grilled white fish with dill and roasted piccolino tomatoes, fresh bread and garlic aioli, seafood tapas, or creamy semi-soft sheep's cheese.
